words and music by Paul Landsittel © 2008

It takes me a day, to get away, rise above it all,
So I pack my stuff, into my truck, when I hear the mountains call

City life is a dizzy routine of ceaseless activity,
When it makes my senses numb, I go visit Devil’s Thumb,

I cross the Great Divide, I’ve got altitude
I’m standing on top of the world, where the sky turns a deeper blue

Oh Wilderness Divine, Take me away,
For a long walk in the pines and some Rocky Mountain Peace of Mind

Game trails wind through, the alpine meadow
Wild life freely come and go, Mother Nature’s motion picture show, here in Colorado,

I surrender to these mountains, empty out my head
Into the timberline wind, keep my spirit fed

Oh Wilderness Divine, Take me away,
For a long walk in the pines and some Rocky Mountain Peace of Mind
